Synopsis

Every cell phone call tears a person from their environment and at the same enables the intimacy of the conservation to be shared. The film's sound track creates a connected plot out of excerpts of the overheard conversations of chance passers-by at stations, shopping centres, and parks in London. The camera is a discreet voyeur, presenting the still-life image of urban isolation, reflecting the rhythm of fragments of metropolitan life, which Wim Wenders calls "moments on the fringe of stories".
