Synopsis

Elsa Triolet (1896-1970) was of Russian descent but spent most of her life in France, participating in the political and artistic life together with her husband, Luis Aragon. Triolet is one of the most significant feminine literary personalities in French culture (although her texts somehow were lost over the years). Varda's film offers gentle images in order to show us what was so attractive about Triolet's personality. The piece is based on the recollections of her husband, on which she later comments herself.
