The director’s short-length film debut originated as a parody of made-to-order institutional propaganda films. It captures the street life on an important boulevard, where we primarily watch the eccentric figures that give the location its specific character. The entire film is immersed in the Brazilian atmosphere of the late 1960s.

Carlos Reichenbach (1945–2012) may be considered one of the world’s most expressive filmmakers. He was influenced by his cinephile’s admiration, particularly of the French New Wave, and daringly experimented with various genres, at the same time breaking down the clichés associated with them.
