Synopsis

A chilling insight into hurtful situations between divorcing parents is captured by this portrait of the filmmaker’s family, in which painful closeness creates riveting drama, tangible emptiness, and shifting blame, when spouses evaluate their lifelong cohabitation, part of which was psychological and physical abuse.

Biography

Taiwanese photographer Chou Yu-Hsin (1983) graduated from institute where he majored in documentary filmmaking. Avici is his debut, the first film he created entirely on his own.
