Synopsis

A dark sky brightens, revealing a landscape carved from the silhouettes of trees, buildings, and solitary people. The quickening movement of observed urban and rural scenes opens up into a lyrical fusion with the exterior as a possible escape from inner confusion.

Biography

Taiwanese director Chung Mong Hong (1965) works with elements of psychological horror, humor, and subtle surrealism. His film Parking (2008) was awarded at Cannes, and since that time he’s been considered one of the leading figures in new Asian film.
