Doppler Effect Version II

A visual illustration of the phenomenon of a frequency change of a moving source of sound, which also applies to electromagnetic waves, including light. The film is an associative game of shapes and colours that, as they are combined to form a visual whole, become a sophisticated interpretation of visual distortion in a series of short depictions of objects, flowers and faces.

American director Dan Agnew made five abstract films in the 1960s in which he used collage, editing and split images to evoke the emotions we feel from music and art, but also from sex and drugs.
