Synopsis

This film, which won an award at the 1955 Cannes Film Festival, shows Paris in quick panning shots and a shaky views. Shots of people sharing joints are intercut with long out-of-focus scenes, and the distorted movement of bodies scenes or multiple exposures imitates altered states of mind and the hallucinatory world of the era’s counterculture.
