Zeno's Paradox

Zeno's Paradox

Zénónův paradox

Music: Ronnie Cramer
Color: Black and white
Language: No dialogue

The dimensionless point on which the camera is focused raises the issue of the possibility that an infinitely short moment exists. The flight along the (non-)path towards a single tree trunk, which, however, bears a picture of the same forest, stirs up the inability to define the frame we are in, and again calls into question the ancient Greek denial of the notion of infinity.

American experimental filmmaker Robert Arnold (1954) has received many awards for his work. He currently teaches film at Boston University. His films are characterised by experimentation with digital editing and the creation of time loops.
