The visible world is a set of light impulses passing through a lens (in the eye or in the camera). It grows out of colors created by bending light of changing wavelengths. Refractive color surprises us with its many possible errors, diffusions, and different shades along the margins. The film explores the aesthetic charge of these image errors with unsharp contours.

The repeated motif of the open eye unsettles the observer, who is exposed to an alluring gaze from the movie screen.

Spanish-born audiovisual artist Aura Satz (1974) currently lives and works in London, where she lectures at the Royal College of Art. In her work, she combines film, sound, sculpture and performance. Her films are characterized by an interest in technology, archeology, and media aesthetics.
