Synopsis

Godfrey Reggio’s debut as producer and director is the first part of the “qatsi” trilogy of films, whose names come from the Hopi language. Shot from 1975 to 1982 and set to a score by Philip Glass, Koyaanisqatsiis an apocalyptic vision of the conflict between nature and modern industrial society.
