Gyula Nemes

A film director, studied Czech and Hungarian Literature and Film Studies at ELTE university in Budapest and presently studies at the Department of Documentary Film, FAMU. He made several experimental and documentary films (The Age of Light, 1995, Scientists, Donkeys, To the Center!, 2001) and adaptations of works by Bohumil Hrabal: Parrot and The Dike of Transience. His feature debut My One and Onlies, a graduation film made under the instruction of Karel Vachek and Věra Chytilová, was selected for this year's Critics' Week Selection of the Venice Film Festival.
