P. Adams-Sitney

Legendary historian of American avantgarde film, professor at Princeton University. Born in 1944, he graduated from Yale University and founded the Anthology Film Archives in New York, working as a curator of avantgarde films. In the late 1960s, he coined the term 'structuralist film'. His famous book called Visionary Film: The American Avant-Garde 1943-2000 has appeared in three editions; he also wrote the book Modernist Montage: The Obscurity of Vision in Cinema and Literature, and has edited a number of books and anthologies.
