Albert Serra

Born in 1975, he studied Hispanic Philology and Theory of Literature in Barcelona. He is a regular at the Cannes Film Festival and usually presents his work there. He released his first film, Crespià, in 2003. Later on he made Honour of the Knights (2006), a peculiar version of Don Quixote, which was in cinemas in France for almost two years. His third feature film, Birdsong (2008), earned him a Gaudí award. He owns his own production company, Andergraun Films, with which he makes his projects.
