Case Study: Czech State Cinematography Fund Presents – 8 Tips for Writing a Successful Application

Each year, the State Cinematography Fund receives an average of 300 applications for the support of cinematography. However, there is no template which would guarantee the success of your application. It is still mainly a matter of the content. And yet, a well-written application will add credibility to your projects. That is why you should not underestimate the form either.

We will show how a well-arranged application, clearly specifying to what purpose the granted funds will be used, can help you through the selection process. We will show you that “pitching” is a term worth including in your vocabulary and that rehearsing your speech in front of your spouse is nothing to be ashamed of. We will show you that writing by hand is original, but perhaps for graphologists.

But most of all, we will show you that it is not so difficult to write a successful application.

The Chairman of the Council of the State Cinematography Fund, Petr Vítek and SCF’s Office Representative, Kateřina Vojkůvková, will share their experience from the Fund’s Council and Office.

The presentation will be held in the Czech language.
