Abandoned Worlds

Description

Urban Exploration, abbreviated Urbex, is a project exploring places built by humans but now abandoned. At the same time, these locations are not officially accessible to the general public. However, all explorers follow one specific unwritten rule: “Don’t take anything away except a photograph; don’t leave behind anything other than footprints.” In the case of Jakub Hodr, this rule may be expanded to include: “Kill nothing but time.” Jakub Hodr’s desire to discover is driven mainly by his enthusiasm and obsession to capture in his photos – as well as in his memory – the genius loci, the atmosphere, and the emotions found in abandoned places.
