I, Hero – The Czech (Mašín)ery

Jiří Havelka

An original theatre project reconstructing the actions of the Mašín brothers, using only authentic documentary materials, combined with a forensic and
mental reconstruction. The play does not attempt to provide a comprehensive picture of the Mašín brothers, but tries only to create an objective environment
for dealing with the controversial question: Murderer, or hero? On this foundation, it then asks several more fundamental questions: What is objectivity? How are opinions formed? What topics are considered controversial in the Czech Republic, and why?

The performance includes a vote whose results will be published on the day before the performance at www.facebook.com/jahrdina.
